It's way too easy in this world to think that wearer something no great. Every where you turn there are advertisements telling us that we should feed our egos. We should get the fast car, buy the big house, get the new gadget because we deserve it. We work hard so we should consume. We work hard so we should go on vacation. We are told that all that we have is because of ourselves and we should thank or treat no one but ourselves for we have had no help. Problem is, that's not the case. Now not for a minute do I want anyone thinking that I disregard any hard work anyone does on a daily basis but keep in mind that if it were not for God you would have nothing. God gifts us with talents and abilities so that we can work hard to overcome daily goals and complete tasks. For if it were not for God we work ld not exist. For if it were not for God our world would not be what it is. That said we should know our place. We should not worship God because of fear or obligation. We should worship God because we love him. God loved so much that he couldn't keep it to himself. God loved so much that he chose to create. God loves us that he gives us talents and abilities to take care of ourselves and he also blesses us with each with different talents so that we may learn to love each other by depending on each other. No man is a complete person that can do all. We each have shortcomings, weaknesses so that we need each other. We were created to take care of each other, to love one another, but most importantly to need God. God has the ability to fill that hole in your heart to make you complete and to help you become the best version of yourself. God loves so much that he came to us in human form. He sent his son Jesus to teach us how to love God and each other. God even comes to us as the Holy Spirit everyday, if we let him in, to aid us in our daily lives. God knows his place, he is our father and loves us unconditionally, but do we know our place? God waits each and every day. What are you waiting for?
Gospel, Luke 17:7-10
7 'Which of you, with a servant ploughing or minding sheep, would say to him when he returned from the fields, "Come and have your meal at once"?
8 Would he not be more likely to say, "Get my supper ready; fasten your belt and wait on me while I eat and drink. You yourself can eat and drink afterwards"?
9 Must he be grateful to the servant for doing what he was told?
10 So with you: when you have done all you have been told to do, say, "We are useless servants: we have done no more than our duty." '
